Training Band

The Training Band meets each Friday at 6.30pm for an hour. This band is for the novices up to grade 5 and has no age limit. The music is carefully selected to enable individuals to develop at their own pace without pressure. Members are selected to join the main band when a vacancy occurs and they have reached the required standard to fulfill the post.

Each rehearsal is taken by the Musical Director who believes in a fun and intuitive atmosphere.

We are always pleased to welcome new members to our band. Any fear of playing in a large group are quickly forgotten once the music starts.

The Training Band always performs a short repertoire as part of the programme at both our Easter and Christmas concerts currently held at The Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre. Members are encouraged to stay and watch the main Concert Band perform some wonderful music.

Membership fees are £30.00 per year which includes free use of instruments subject to availability.
